Senior Electrical Engineer
Reporting to the VP Engineering, the Senior Electrical Engineer will assist in the development of conceptual designs of electrical systems of distributed energy systems as well as oversee the detailed final design of the systems. This includes outlining the most cost-effective technical solution addressing the client specific needs utilizing various distributed energy resource technologies including combined heat & power (CHP), fuel cells, energy storage, solar & geothermal solutions for our customers. The role will be located in either our Anaheim, Chicago, Houston, LA, or NYC offices with potential travel to other offices or project sites across the country.
Responsibilities will include:
• Lead conceptual electrical design of DER systems
• Prepare electrical system layouts including single- and three-line diagrams
• Lead development of work scopes, equipment sizing and definition of equipment specifications
• Manage subcontractor submittal reviews (engineering drawings, shop drawings)
• Develop/Apply software for CAD and related analytics
• Outline site walkdowns and objectives for technical and project feasibility assessment
• Prepare project cost estimates and schedules for applicable work scopes
• Support identification, evaluation and qualification of new DER technologies and new engineering, supplier or construction partners
• Assist to ensure quality assurance of electrical design and construction activities
• Collaborate with clients, contractors and suppliers to develop solutions and resolve issues
• Ensure all relevant standards and codes are adhered in design, manufacturing and construction of electrical equipment and systems
• Deliver reports, presentations and coordinate meetings with clients and management
Requirements:
• Min 7-10 years in relevant energy system design and construction
• Bachelor’s Degree (minimum) in Electrical Engineering
• Knowledgeable of electrical system fundamentals of distributed energy systems
• Strong problem-solving and communications skills

• Ability to work in small teams within a faced-paced environment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite, MS Project and AutoCAD
Salary Range: $125,000 - $160,000/year
